The following is a discussion started into the hyperjournal0.3alpha
bugtracker. I'm moving it in here to let others see it as it is a "real
discussion" rather than a simple bug report :-)
My reply is at the end.

Would it be possible to make the submitted articles
visible for registered users?
I do not propose it, to tell the truth; I suggest it as a tentative
debate
issue. In such a way, we could avoid spam, while getting a certain
degree
of "transparency".

yes, I agree. My idea is to let the administrator choose a number of
days
before a rejected contribution is deleted. If the choosen number is 0
then
the contributions are never deleted. Additionally we can let admins to
decide whether to allow readers to see refused contributions or not. Let
me know what do you think.

It is a good idea. Will it be possible for the admin to decide whether
*a
single* rejected contribution should be deleted of not? In such a way,
the
admin would be able to handle "controversial" papers and true spam in a
different way. However, I suppose that in the worst case he could
simply
use the standard shell to do
rm singlespam_article.html.
Is it possible to implement such a feature. We'll add it in the
forthcoming beta or stable release.
Using the shell to remove files MUST BE AVOIDED as it generates
inconsintencies with data stored in the database.
(Hyperjournal searches the filsystem for an article that does not
exists).
Ciao,
michele
